I was able to wash the hood by hand with diluted Dawn dish soap, but when I got the stains also on its collar, I thought I use Nikmax using warm water to clean the whole jacket. Now the oil has been distributed all over my jacket, on the sleeves and all over the front and back part. What shall I do now? Will the Granger brand help? Or shall I wash the whole jacket with diluted Dawn dish soap. Or do you have other ideas? Oxyclean? I do not want to ruin my jacket—

Thank you in advance for your help,

Francine

We usually use about 3. Not sure about a duvet. Probably depends on the size. I would think 3-5 would still do the trick.

Hey Aaron, we recommend using downwash for any down garments. Regular detergents can strip natural oils from the down in your jacket, so it really is best to use a down specific detergent. At least that’s our advice. Hope that helps!

I’ve put socks over shoes to help break up the clumps but I will buy some tennis balls for next one. Thanks

Good question M,

I’d recommend heading to the closest laundromat you can find. They usually have good washers and dryers for this purpose. Thanks for the comment and good luck.

So my question is, what if one doesn’t have a tumble dryer (like me). Have you any advice on how to safely air dry?

The jacket is relatively new about 6 months and is clean apart from those patches.
